Uniforms
Today's reenactment unit portrays the British
Light Infantry soldier in the Philadelphia campaign uniform
of 1777. It consists of a black wool felt hat, made by modifying
the standard infantry cocked hat; a short red wool jacket; white
linen or wool gaitered trousers and black period shoes.
